Social Work (MSW)

The Master of Social Work degree program is designed to enable students to develop professional practice competence by providing a curriculum that includes social work practice, social policy, knowledge of human behavior and the social environment, research knowledge and experience, and field education.

Preparation for a career in social work includes coursework and field experience. MSW students complete a carefully selected agency field internship which provides students with the opportunity to put into action both the conceptual and practice aspects of social work that relates to their area of interest. Students are placed in agencies in their home area whenever possible. Placements are also available in many international locations.
