Scholarships

Named endowed scholarships are awarded in the fall for one academic year (fall and spring). There is one scholarship application for all FSU Panama City Foundation scholarships (pdf 305.99 kB) available online for downloading. Students must reapply each year in the fall. Applicants are considered for all scholarships for which they are eligible. Students must possess a minimum GPA of 2.5 and take six credit hours per semester.

To be eligible for Foundation scholarships, students must first fill out the FAFSA. Some scholarships are based on financial need, some are merit based and others include community service requirements.

 

Adam Arias Memorial ABA
For graduate students in the Psychology Applied Behavior Analysis Program.

AT&T Employees
Active employees or dependents of active or retired AT&T employees.

Dempsey Barron
Undergraduate or graduate student.

Bob Barth Underwater Research
Student with 3.0 GPA enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours, 3 of which are an underwater research course.

Bay County Teacher of the Year
Gulf Coast Community College graduate admitted to the undergraduate education program with 3.0 GPA.

The Bays Medical Society
Student pursuing Nursing degree and employed by Gulf Coast Medical Center or Bay Medical Center the last 2 years. Must supply reference letters from physicians who have active privileges at the hospital where applicant is employed.

Fredericka Berger Benton Memorial
Undergraduate or graduate student with 2.8 GPA.

Mabelle Williams Benton Memorial
Undergraduate or graduate student with 2.8 GPA.

Berg Steel Pipe Corporation
Undergraduate with 2.8 GPA. Priority consideration is given to dependents of employees of Berg Steel Pipe Corporation and eb Pipe Coating, Inc.

Flo Bilelo Social Work
Awarded to students completing the internship/field study curriculum requirements of the undergraduate or graduate degree in Social Work with a 3.0 GPA and demonstrated financial need.

Larson M. & Beverly J. Bland
Undergraduate with 2.75 GPA.

Gary and Hollis Bliss
For undergraduate students pursuing a degree in the College of Business or Communication. A personal statement is required including information on community service through participation in organizations that improve the community at large.

Frank Brown Memorial/Optimist Club of the Beaches
Full-time (12 credit hours) undergraduate students with 2.8 GPA. Priority consideration is given to residents of the Beaches area of Bay County, Florida. A personal statement is required including information on academic and/or leadership awards received as well as participation in community activities and any affiliation to Optimist Clubs.

John A. Centrone
Preference to graduates of Panama City Marine Institute.

Century 21 Bay Brokers Council
Undergraduate or graduate student with a 3.0 GPA.

Linda Arnold Christoff Memorial
Female student demonstrating academic ability and financial need.

Charles W. Clary, III
Elementary Education undergraduate with 3.0 GPA.

Community Services Foundation of Bay County
Bay County resident.

Dr. Hulon and Dinah Crayton
Undergraduate minority student. Awarded to minority students enrolled in any academic program if there are no School of Nursing applicants.

Don Crisp Endowed
Undergraduate students with 2.8 GPA. A personal statement is required and should include information pertaining to community service and student leadership activities.

Angel David Memorial
Full-time student with 3.0 GPA.

Death By Chocolate/Emerald Coast Business Women's Association
Student who is a resident of Bay County, Florida and is at least 23 years of age.

Endowed General Scholarship Fund
Open to all degree programs. Undergraduate or graduate student with a 2.5 GPA.

Kassi Blakeley Eudaley
A priority to active employees or dependents of Corams Steak & Eggs.

FICPA Scholarship
Accounting Major with 3.0 GPA.

Anita Darlene Freeman Memorial
Undergraduate or graduate student with a physical disability.

FSU Panama City Student Government Council
Full time undergraduate or graduate student with 3.5 GPA. A separate application is required for this scholarship. Please see Financial Aid Office for more information.

GAC Contractors, Inc.
Priority consideration is given to graduates of a high school in Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, Liberty and Washington Counties, Florida. Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with 2.8 GPA.

Hubert Green
Undergraduate or graduate students with 3.0 GPA. A personal statement is required and should include information pertaining to demonstrated community service.

Michelle Green
Undergraduate or graduate students with 3.0 GPA. A personal statement is required and should include information pertaining to demonstrated community service.

Gulf Coast Medical Center
Undergraduate students with 3.0 GPA enrolled in the school of nursing. Priority consideration is given to current employees of Gulf Coast Medical Center who meet criteria.

John Hutt, Sr. Memorial
Preference given to undergraduate in the College of Business.

Jaqueline Isler Memorial
Undergraduate student in any degree program.

Wally Jenkins Memorial Optimist Club of the Beaches
Full-time (12 credit hours) undergraduate students with 2.8 GPA. Priority consideration is given to residents of the Beaches area of Bay County, Florida. A personal statement is required including information on academic and/or leadership awards received as well as participation in community activities and any affiliation to Optimist Clubs.

Female undergraduate or graduate student with 3.0 GPA.

Undergraduate or graduate student with 3.0 GPA.

Edward Mayer Memorial
A non-traditional undergraduate or graduate College of Education student with a 2.8 GPA and established residency in Bay County, Florida. Demonstrated financial need and academic ability.

Thomas G. and Donna P. McCoy/Optimist Foundation of the Beaches
Full-time (12 semester hours) undergraduate students with 2.8 GPA are eligible. Priority consideration is given to residents of the Beaches area of Bay County, Florida and to students who have not attended college within the past 5 years. A personal statement is required including information on academic and/or leadership awards received as well as participation in community activities and any affiliation to Optimist Clubs.

McNeil Carroll Engineering, Inc.
Undergraduate students pursuing a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with 3.0 GPA. Priority consideration given to employees and dependents of McNeil Carroll Engineering, Inc., graduates of Gulf Coast Community College, and Bay County, Florida high school graduates.

Optimist Club of the Beaches
Full-time (12 credit hours) undergraduate students with 2.8 GPA. Priority consideration is given to residents of the Beaches area of Bay County, Florida. A personal statement is required including information on academic and/or leadership awards received as well as participation in community activities and any affiliation to Optimist Clubs.

Panama City Area Seminole Club
Student with demonstrated financial need.

Panama City Downtown Rotary Club
Preference given to College of Business majors.

Panama City Housing Authority
Book award with preference to Gulf Coast Community College graduates who have been selected to receive an EXCEL Scholarship from the Bay Education Foundation, Inc.

Panama City Junior Woman's Club
Preference to present or past member of the Panama City Junior Woman’s Club with 3.0 GPA.

Panhandle Educator's Federal Credit Union
Priority consideration is given to members and qualified dependents of members of Panhandle Educators Federal Credit Union.

Panhandle Engineering/James and Rose Slonina
Undergraduate student seeking a degree in civil and environmental engineering.

Patronis Brothers Foundation
Gulf Coast Community College graduate and Bay County resident.

PBS&J
Undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a 3.0 GPA.

Priority consideration is given to employees and qualified dependents of employees of Regions Bank's Florida Panhandle Banking Group.

Mary Ola Reynolds Miller
Undergraduate with 3.0 GPA. Must be a resident of one of the following Northwest Florida counties and provide documentation of established residency of at least ten (10) years: Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, Walton, Holmes, Washington, Bay, Jackson, Calhoun, Gulf, Liberty, or Franklin.

Resident of Bay or Walton County, Florida for a minimum of 10 years with 2.8 GPA. A personal statement is required and should include residency information.

Sussex-Bay Foundation
Communication majors with 3.0 GPA.

George G. Tapper Memorial
Preference given to Gulf Coast Community College graduates pursuing undergraduate degree. Demonstrated academic ability and financial need.

Col. William W. Wood Memorial
Student must have a 2.8 GPA to receive the scholarship and a 2.5 to maintain the scholarship. Full-time (12 credit hours per semester) undergraduate students who are graduates of Gulf Coast Community College and a high school in Bay County Florida are considered. Recipients have priority for future scholarship awards for up to five semesters or until graduation without reapplication. Applicants must submit an essay consisting of a minimum of 500 words on the topic "What Is The Cost of Freedom?"

Edward N. and June G. Wright
Preference to children (dependent or independent status) of full-time FSU Panama City employees (USPS or A&P) with 3.0 GPA.

Dr. Robert L. Young/ First Union Bank
