Florida State University honored its newest graduates during a virtual commencement ceremony Saturday, May 2, on the FSU website commencement.fsu.edu. FSU President John Thrasher presided.

FSU Panama City was included in this ceremony and hosted additional commencement video messaging from Dean Randy Hanna, faculty and SGC President Billy Bradley on the pc.fsu.edu/virtual2020 website.

“Many of these students started their academic journey with Hurricane Michael and are concluding it during a global pandemic,” Dean Randy Hanna said. “This speaks volumes to their hard work, dedication and perseverance. To honor their accomplishments, we will have a virtual graduation ceremony, but we plan to hold an in-person celebration where students will walk the stage.”

There are 322 graduates for the 2019-2020 academic year, including 25 military veterans who will be receive the official FSU Student Veteran Honor Cords in recognition of their service and sacrifice.
