“I'm “all in” when it comes to working on my masters of Corporate and Public Communication.” — Destiny Hansley

Destiny Hansley, 23, feels like she’s “all in” when it comes to working on her masters of Corporate and Public Communication, since she’s also in the English Club, works in the Digital Design Studio, and serves as president of Project Runway, a club for sewing enthusiasts. So she enjoyed the lower intensity of the summer term.

“Over the summer, it’s very slow in the DDS,” she said. “We get some students who need prints, or they need help with Photoshop or any of the other programs we’re trained to help them use.”

The DDS is the only student-run space on campus, Hansley said. The center provides students with access to 3D printers, laser cutters, podcasting and recording gear, virtual reality games, karaoke and much more — including peer tutoring.

Originally from Freeport, Hansley said she chose FSU PC because of her instructors, particularly Dr. Brian Parker, assistant teaching professor and program coordinator for Professional Communication, who “talked me into getting my masters. Dr. Parker’s awesome.”
