Isaiah Long, 21, hopes to take the lessons of his time at FSU PC back home to Marianna to help small business owners. He plans to complete his masters in Corporate and Public Communication in 2023.
“Communication is very important in any job you do, but our generation, because of COVID, learned that having these skills are extremely important,” Long said, referring to digital communication and messaging on a plethora of platforms.
Family and closeness are watchwords for Long, who chose FSU PC because it was close to home, affordable, family-oriented and offered a close-knit environment. He’s active in the Student Government Council and Pre-Law Club, as well as being a full-time staff administrative assistant.
“There are so many opportunities with this degree,” he said. “You don’t have to go into marketing or PR, you can do anything. Start your own business, work in HR — it’s very diverse.”
