FSU Panama City will celebrate Black History Month with author/TV director Jeffrey Blount discussing “The Power of Words” with a free community lecture Wednesday, Feb. 26, and a roundtable book discussion for FSU Panama City students Thursday, Feb. 27.

FSU Panama City recognized six outstanding alumni as Notable 'Noles during a reception Jan. 28 for their continued commitment to education as part of a 20-year campus Homecoming tradition.

Out in the South, a free community forum aimed at raising awareness and enabling community stakeholders to promote inclusivity and support for LGBTQ+ people in the local community, will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at FSU Panama City’s Holley Lecture Hall.

FSU Panama City will celebrate the accomplishments of women of color to the field of psychology with the “I am Psyched!” exhibit through Nov. 22 in the FSU Panama City Holley Academic Center. The multimedia initiative, which explores psychological science, practice and social justice, will be free and open to the public. An opening reception will begin at 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, in the Holley Atrium.

A group of local 30-A residents is working with FSU Tallahassee and Panama City to establish an Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) on 30-A tailored to lifelong learners. A community introduction meeting will be 5-6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, at Watercolor Inn.

Global and local entrepreneurs will discuss pathways to American entrepreneurship during a Women Entrepreneurship Week event 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 23 in the FSU Panama City Bayside Auditorium.

Student can save up to 60 percent while creating a professional wardrobe during Seminole Suit-Up 4-7 p.m. Oct. 6 at JCPenney’s location at the former Panama City Mall. Participants also can learn how to look their best at job interviews and internships through free mini makeovers, hair consultations and sample products.
